Jeffrey A. Bibbs, Ph.D.
Dr. Bibbs is co-founder and CEO of Pharmatek. He has a broad background in preclinical drug development, medicinal chemistry and physical organic chemistry. Dr. Bibbs is an instructor at University of California , San Diego Extension, teaching classes in Drug Development and Formulation Development. He is also a co-founder of Diakron Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical company focused on cardiovascular disease. Dr. Bibbs earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and was a postdoctoral fellow at Texas A&M and The Scripps Research Institute. He worked in medicinal chemistry and drug development for 10 years at Amylin Pharmaceuticals prior to founding Pharmatek.
Timothy Scott
Mr. Scott is co-founder and President of Pharmatek. Mr. Scott also serves on the boards of a number of pharmaceutical startup companies including Orphagen Pharmaceuticals, Zacharon Pharmaceuticals, Diakron Pharmaceuticals and Synervate Pharmaceuticals. In the community, Mr. Scott serves as president of the Board of Trustees for The Children School, an independent school located in La Jolla , California and serves as president of La Jolla Youth Baseball Pinto League. He earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of California , San Diego. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego and is a member of the California Bar.
Mark G. Foletta, C.P.A., Director
Mr. Foletta, is Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Amylin Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Foletta previously served as Principal, Triton Group Management, Inc. Prior to that, he held a number of management positions with Intermark, Inc. and Triton Group Ltd., the most recent of which was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. Prior to that, Mr. Foletta was with Ernst & Young, most recently serving as an Audit Manager. Mr. Foletta earned his B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California , Santa Barbara in 1982 and received his California CPA accreditation in 1985.
