As a formulation development company, Pharmatek Laboratories recognizes that new compounds, especially insoluble ones, have a better chance of success if properly formulated prior to animal efficacy testing. With this knowledge, Pharmatek has developed the Hot Rod Chemistry® (HRC) Rapid Formulation Service for solubilizing compounds for animal testing.
The HRC Rapid Formulation Service is especially useful for those companies that need to check animal efficacy or conduct preliminary pK studies prior to beginning a full formulation development program. While this service does not provide an IND-enabling or human formulation, it does enable a company to move more compounds to the next level of testing that would normally be shelved because they did not perform well due to poor solubility and poor bioavailability in the animal models.
