About the Speaker
Dr. Patricia D. Williams, Summit’s Chief Operating
Officer, founded the Company in 2004 as a spin out
from TherImmune/Gene Logic. Dr. Williams leads
the nonclinical and CMC efforts at Summit, with a
focus on designing and implementing high quality
drug development programs while controlling budgets
and timelines. Dr. Williams offers over 25 years of
experience in drug discovery and development from
positions of increasing responsibility at Bristol-
Myers, Eli Lilly, American Cyanamid, Glycomed,
Ligand, Biochem Pharma, SRA Life Sciences,
TherImmune, and Gene Logic. Teams under Dr.
Williams’ leadership have advanced over 50 small
molecules and biologics into clinical development.
Dr. Williams has authored/co-authored over 50
research articles and over a dozen book chapters, and
has given over 40 presentations at professional
meetings in the areas of safety pharmacology and
toxicology.
